Of Moroccan and Polish descent, Mehdi Benembarek is a Canadian digital media entrepreneur and visual storyteller. He recently launched KAINO70, a boutique AI film production studio, thereby expanding his creative work into the future of filmmaking. He co-founded Amabilis Inc., a publisher of interactive digital magazines, in 1999. As Vice-President of Corporate Development, he was actively involved in a range of online projects, including Amabilia.com (an online women's magazine, 1999–2008), Saveurs Nomades (digital cookbooks created with chefs), and NOW Maroc (an interactive iPad travel magazine dedicated to Morocco). For NOW Maroc, he served as lead producer of visual content, overseeing photography, video, and interactive storytelling. The publication was a finalist at the Digital Magazine Awards in London two years in a row. Videos produced for Morocco in Motion were licensed by prestigious television programs such as Secrets d'Histoire (France 2 and TV5). His photographic series on the Mennonite community of Springfield, Belize, received an Honorable Mention at the 2019 International Photography Awards. His photographic works have also been exhibited worldwide, including Paris, Kuwait, New York, Los Angeles, Bali, and Beijing. He also co-founded Nomad Photo Club, a company offering travel photography tours and workshops around the world.
